Asterpix Adsense account Sharing Google cuts off,Google cuts off Asterpix Adsense account for sharing revenue:
Reno – Asterpix.com, a website that provides users the ability to display tags below content that uses a patented search technology was put out of business Tuesday when Google shut down Asterpix’s adsense account for sharing revenue with publisher sites.
Nat Kausik, CEO, told AXcess News in a telephone interview that his company “had been an Adsense publisher for two years”, having served over 1 billion ad impressions over that time. He indicated that many of Asterpix.com’s publisher sites where suffering greatly from the loss, some even unable to make payroll as a result.
As Google Adsense publishers go, Asterpix.com is no small player, having served over 1.1 billion impressions.
Asterpix emailed their pubilshers Tuesday saying, “Google objects to our sharing revenue with you and decided to terminate the partnership. Google Ads will no longer show on SearchLight pages.”
Asterplix was devastated by the move and is scrambling to find an alternative. But with Yahoo entering into an ad deal with Microsoft’s Bing, the playing field is fairly narrow.
Google has been distancing itself from adsense partnerships and advertisers alike, opting for the larger publisher agreements, says 7search Business Development Director, Charles Meyer. “They’re trying to only serve major brands,” Meyers stated.

Asterpix’s CEO refused to comment over the Google announcement, only to say that “what you read in the email is a fact.”
Asterpix was incorporated in 2006 and was funded by venture capitalists, New Enterprise Associates and Shasta Ventures. The VC firms, both of Menlo Park, Calif., representatives where unavailable for comment, though it is unlikely that they will take this lying down.
When asked if Asterpix would be filing a lawsuit against Google Kausik refused to comment.
