Union Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee said contesting parties in the Ayodhya title suit have to resolve the issue through discussions or accept the court verdict.

‘We are waiting for the court verdict. There are two solutions to this issue that both the Congress and the government would accept,’ he said on the sidelines of an event in Sagardighi in Murshidabad district.

‘If those who have filed cases against each other sit and come to a settlement, we will accept it. Otherwise, whatever be the court verdict, is also acceptable.’

The Supreme Court will Tuesday hear a plea to defer the Allahabad High Court’s verdict in the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case contested by Hindu and Muslim groups.
