Devil actually surprised many early viewers, as the horror film was not as bad as initially projected.
M. Night Shyamalan produced Devil, and the film was directed by John Erick Dowdle.

The plot is quite simpe: five strangers are trapped in an elevator at a Philadelphia office. Odd occurrences start freaking them out, and they all begin to blame each other regarding who is responsible.

The hidden message of Devil surrounds the idea that the devil is actually on Earth and enjoys tormenting people in particular ways.Devil features Chris Messina, Logan Marshall-Green, and Jenny O’Hara.

Rottentomatoes has given Devil a 47% review. Not many actual reviews have come in yet, as critics were not able to view the film early.

The actual name of the film is Night Chronicles: Devil. It is expected that a total of three films will be released in the Night Chronicles series.

One early Devil review states that the acting is well below par. The actors don’t seem to have meaning to their dialogue, and viewers do not really feel any type of threat. However, flashy scenes and unexpected occurrences do provide a bit of a thrill.
