Kailash Mansarovar Yatra | Kailash Mansarovar Yatra For 2010 Concludes:
The Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra for 2010 was concluded after 37 pilgrims, stranded at Gunji for the past four days due to inclement weather, were airlifted by IAF helicopters to Dharchula.
“The pilgrims will now leave for Tanakpur via Pithoragarh- Tanakpur highway and rest at Tanakpur tonight…
A total of 753 pilgrims from across the country took part in the pilgrimage this year in 16 batches,” tourism manager of Kumaun Mandal Vikas Nigam yatra D K Sharma said.
All the evacuated pilgrims were declared medically fit after they were brought to Dharchula camp of KMVN .
“The pilgrims will reach New Delhi on September 26 and after that all workers and officers deputed on higher Himalayan track routes will be called back,” he said.
