Lindsay Lohan Twitter posts formed a confession yesterday. The recent Lindsay Lohan Twitter updates have confirmed that Lindsay Lohan could head from Twitter to jail once again. New tabloid reports alleged that the troubled actress had slipped off the wagon, failing a recent drug test. Given that she just got out of rehab and prison, and was under strict orders not to test positive, the consequences of this would be damaging. But according to today's Lindsay Lohan Twitter updates, she is set to head back to court and face the music.

TMZ was the first to report these new allegations, claiming that Lohan failed two new drug tests. Under the terms of her probation, she must undergo random drug tests twice a week, and is subject to 30 more days in prison for each failed test.

A few hours ago, Lohan announced on her Twitter page “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.”

She went on to say “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps…forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future…This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.”

Last month, she was released from jail after serving 13 days of a 90 day sentence for violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI case. Now, in the wake of the failed test, she may face more jail time.

The actress was recently on the cover of Vanity Fair, and was quoted as saying that she had put some of her problems behind her: “I’ve admitted to the things that I’ve done—to, you know, dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it.”
