You can call on 139 form BSNL landline, Dolphin, MTNL landline, Idea, Garuda, Vodafone and Spice telecom. Calling from any of these phones will give you access to call back, SMS and also Fax facilities. This number works all over India. If you are a resident of either Delhi or Mumbai, you can directly dial 139xxxxxxxxxx, which is a ten-digit ticket PNR number and 139xxxx, which is a four-digit train number to get the details of train ticket PNR and train status respectively.

2. You can also send a SMS with “PNR” to 5888 or 57886 or 5676747 in order to obtain the Indian railway Ticket PNR status.

3. A new service called the 139 passenger information system on SMS provided by the Indian Railways. With this service, you can send a SMS to 139 requesting for the required information about railways.
